Position Summary

Ovation Networks is seeking a highly organized, customer and relationship-focused Project Manager to lead and execute Wi-Fi implementation projects from contract handoff through final invoicing. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, on budget, and aligned with customer expectations and company margin objectives.

The Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination between Sales, Operations, Account Management, Procurement, Finance, external vendors, and customers to ensure seamless project execution and exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage full lifecycle of Wi-Fi implementation projects from kickoff through completion.
  • Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate all aspects of installation including equipment procurement, staging, scheduling, and on-site deployment.
  • Track project progress and proactively address risks, delays, and roadblocks.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Scope Verification & Customer Alignment

  • Partner with Sales during project handoff to verify scope, assumptions, deliverables, and project specifics.
  • Engage customers early to validate scope, confirm expectations, and align on implementation timelines.
  • Lead project kickoff calls and maintain regular customer communication throughout implementation.
  • Manage scope changes through structured change order processes.

Vendor & Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate internal teams including Operations, Field Technicians, Procurement, and Engineering.
  • Schedule and manage external vendors and subcontractors to align with project timelines.
  • Ensure equipment and materials are ordered, delivered, and available for scheduled installations.
  • Drive accountability across all stakeholders to meet project milestones.

Financial & Margin Management

  • Partner with Finance and Operations to manage project budgets and ensure margin targets are achieved.
  • Monitor labor, equipment, and vendor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify risks to margin early and develop mitigation plans.
  • Manage final project billing and coordinate accurate, timely invoicing.
  • Support revenue recognition processes through accurate project documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Account Management, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment on priorities, schedules, and customer commitments.
  • Support smooth transition from implementation to Account Management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce implementation cycle times and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in telecommunications, networking, or technology implementation.
  • Experience managing Wi-Fi or network infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, margin management, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (HubSpot, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar preferred).
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
